Earthling Neil deGrasse Tyson celebrated his 58th birthday Wednesday. But had he been born elsewhere in the solar system, it would be a much different story.
You see, “a year” is entirely relative. If Tyson lived on Saturn, for example, he’d be just a toddler ― and the world wouldn’t be saying happy birthday at all.
As a gesture to the many fans who wished him well, Tyson on Wednesday penned a thank you that only the renowned astrophysicist could have dreamed up.
As he did following the release of the new Star Trek movie, during the Rio Olympics, and in the wake of the Orlando mass shooting, Tyson took to Twitter. And in three short tweets, he threw the world’s understanding of time for a loop.
